Sandton Hotels was founded in 2004 by Rogier Braakman and Gui de Vries. Their vision: Guests should be looking forward to their stay and contributors should do nothing but make sure that the guests enjoy their stay. Sandton now has a beautiful selection of hotels in the Netherlands, France and Belgium.
Aside from vision and service, automation also plays an important role when it comes to development. All bookings are handled through the hotel reservation system Fidelio. Afterwards these bookings were manually entered into Twinfield, the accounting program with which the financial division of Sandton was working. There should be a better way to handle these things. At the end of 2014, Sandton got into contact with Tauros Media through Deloite, a mutual partner.
As an official partner of Twinfield we are specialized in integrations with this popular accounting program. Even more importantly, we have a lot of experience in the hotel industry which helps us understand Sandton’s business processes.
Tauros Media has developed an app for Sandton that picks up orders from Fidelio and converts them to Twinfield-format. Afterwards the order are automatically added to the right ledger account in Twinfield, where each Sandton hotel has its own ledger account. This process reduces the workload for the administrative employees of Sandton by more than 50%! Apart from the technical development, Tauros Media also takes care of the hosting and support of the app. That’s why Tauros Media has become an essential part of the international hotel chain.
